To prepare your artwork for NFT trading within the BITE Virtual Gallery, follow these guidelines:
• Select artwork that is visually compelling and suitable for online presentation. The artwork should be of high quality, with clear details and vibrant colours (in case of digital reproduction).
• Ensure that the artwork is in a digital format that is compatible with online platforms. OpenSea supports various file formats, including JPG, PNG, GIF, SVG, MP4, WEBM, MP3, WAV, OGG, GLB, and GLTF. It's important to note that different NFT marketplaces may have their own file size limitations, so it's advisable to check the specific requirements of each platform before minting your NFTs, if you opt for using other NFT platforms.
• Verify that the digital file size is appropriate for smooth uploading and viewing on digital platforms. The maximum file size allowed for minting NFTs on OpenSea is 100MB.
3.2. Artworks permissions and rights
Before listing any artwork for NFT trading, it is essential to secure the necessary permissions and rights from the respective artists or rights holders. As representative of artist, obtain written permission from the artist to sell their artwork as an NFT. • Clearly attribute the artwork to the respective artist, providing their name, background information, and any relevant biographical details.
• Specify the medium or materials used in creating the artwork, giving potential buyers insights into the artistic process and techniques employed.
• Document the dimensions of the artwork, including height, width, and depth if applicable..
• Craft accurate and engaging descriptions for each artwork, highlighting its unique qualities, themes, inspirations, or narratives that may resonate with potential buyers.
