Famous British street artist known as Banksy has donated 3 reworked copies of oil painting “Mediterranean sea view 2017” to the charity auction “Rembrandt to Richter” which was held on July 28, 2020, in London, UK. The paintings pay homage to the tragedy of thousands of people who lost their lives while crossing the Mediterranean sea during the great migrant crisis of 2010s. The artwork reached a price of 2.9 million dolars, almost three times more than expected before the auction. All money will be donated for the construction of  a new acute stroke unit and buying children’s rehabilitation equipment for the Bethlehem hospital.
